I’m a writer who lives with my husband on a 34-foot sailboat, which we call Tickety Boo. We love to travel on water and on land in search of adventure. The interesting people we meet along the way, the amazing places we get to visit, and the things we’ve experience inspire my writing.

My cozy mystery series, The Mollie McGhie Sailing Mysteries, features a reluctant sailor turned amateur sleuth. The first book in the series, Murder at the Marina, will be published in 2018. I’m currently at work on the second book, Bodies in the Boatyard, with the third in the series, Dead in the Dinghy, in the planning stages.

In addition to mysteries, I also enjoy writing sci-fi/fantasy stories. You can find out more about my writing and publications here.

I blog here on the first and third Monday of every month about writing-related topics, as well as share stories about our nomadic life. You can also follow along on my Facebook page.

If you want to know more about our travel adventures and what it’s like to live on a sailboat, you can follow our blog, The Cynical Sailor (we post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), and our Facebook page.
